Job summary

Early Autism Services in Lansing, MI is seeking Behavior Technicians to work 1:1 with children ages 2-10 in a highly individualized ABA-based program. You will support skill development in areas like conversation, motor and self-help, while partnering with families and a team of therapists.

This full-time role requires a car for travel to clients' homes, lifting up to 30 pounds, and data collection to guide therapy decisions.

Qualifications

  • This position requires a car and willingness to travel within the greater Lansing areas.
  • A Bachelor's degree or pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, child development, or a related field.
  • Experience with young children or individuals with disabilities.
  • All employees must be able to lift approximately 30 pounds and move easily from a seated position.

Responsibilities

  • Work 1:1 with children in skill areas such as conversation, motor, self-help, and pre-academic skills.
  • Integrate the child’s family into therapy sessions.
  • Collect data and make data-based decisions.
  • Learn strategies and procedures to teach children with developmental delays.
  • Attend team meetings and coordinate with a team of therapists.
  • Travel to the home of each client on the therapist's caseload.

Job Description

Comprehensive Early Autism Services (CEAS) provides therapy in the home, school, and community for children diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder. Our program is based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.

Location: Lansing, MI

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $10.00 - $22.00

We are currently looking for Behavior Technicians to work 1:1 with children (ages 2-10) in a highly individualized and supportive environment. The duties and responsibilities of the Behavior Technician include:

  • Working with the child in a number of skill areas, such as conversation skills, fine/gross motor skills, self- help skills, and pre-academic skills.
  • Integrating the child's family into therapy sessions.
  • Data collection and making data-based decisions.
  • Learning strategies and procedures to teach children with developmental delays.
  • Attending team meetings and coordinating with a team of therapists.
  • Traveling to the home of each client on the therapist's case load.
