Job summary

Soar Autism Center is hiring a Behavior Therapist or RBT to provide one-on-one ABA therapy for children aged 2-6 in our clinic. You will implement plans crafted by Masters-level clinicians, and work closely with families to track progress within the ABA framework.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required (verified via resume/application/BACB attestation for RBT)
• RBT certification in progress or attainment; training provided by Soar
• Reliable transportation to training location and local center
• Ability to work well in a team and with children
• Physical requirements: sit/stand, lift up to 50 lbs., move quickly and be on floor as needed
• Computer and tablet literacy required

Job description

At Soar Autism Center, we are dedicated to enhancing the lives of children on the autism spectrum. Our methods draw from the principles of the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), a play-based form of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy. Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children aged 2-6 in our clinic, adhering to the profession's high standards
• Implement intervention plans crafted by our expert Masters-level clinicians, ensuring alignment with Applied Behavioral Analysis therapy principles
• Foster relationships with families, consistently updating them on their child's progress within the ABA framework
• Engage in ongoing training and development, keeping up-to-date with advancements in ABA therapy and RBT certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent, is required (as verified by resume, application, or BACB attestation for RBT certification)
• Strong preference for either enrollment in or completion of a degree program. Bonus for degrees in Child Development, Psychology, or related fields
• Ability to achieve and maintain RBT certification (Soar will provide paid training)
• Previous experience with children and enjoyment working with children
• Must have reliable transportation to both training location and local center. Punctuality is essential
• Must be able to meet the following physical requirements: sit and stand frequently, shift positions quickly, lift up to 50 lbs., sit/kneel on the floor for extended periods of time, sit in a chair, stand, walk, and occasionally run short distances to catch up with a client
• Computer and tablet literacy
• Ability to work on a team

• $21.50 - $28.50/hour with regular bonus and promotion opportunities. The initial offer hourly pay will be between $21.50 - $22.75. All staff members are considered every 3 months for a raise or promotion
