Job summary

J. Arthur Trudeau Memorial Center is seeking a Behavior Therapist to work one-on-one with children in home and community settings.

Under a Behavior Analyst and Lead Therapist, you will implement individualized programs, collect data, and support goals with hands-on, meaningful impact for families. The role requires a high school diploma (bachelor's preferred), driving access, and a flexible, team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience with children in any setting welcomed.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Willingness to work in home and community settings.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-on-one behavior support in home and community.
  • Follow treatment plans and instructional strategies created by the clinical team.

About the Role

As a Behavior Therapist, you'll work one-on-one with children in their homes and communities to bring behavior support plans to life. Under the guidance of a Behavior Analyst and Lead Therapist, you’ll implement individualized programs, collect and manage data, and support progress toward goals. Welcome to Home Based Children's Services

HBCS programs are funded by the Rhode Island Department of Human Services as a component of Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment. The services are for children and adolescents up to the age 21 with medical, physical, behavioral, developmental and/or psychiatric conditions who meet certain eligibility requirements. The programs are designed to address the unique concerns of each child in order to maintain, stabilize, and/or improve current levels of functioning. The services are delivered in the child’s home, the Trudeau Center, and the community. The department of HBCS houses multiple programs under this umbrella, including the ABA-HBTS Program which is a collaborative effort between HBCS and Pathways Strategic Teaching Center (PSTC).

Job Requirements
  • At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
