Overview

The Behavior Technician Specialist plays a vital role in LEARN Behavioral’s mission to find success for every client in our care. This role is everything you love about working as a Behavior Technician, plus the opportunity to:

  • Deliver 1:1 ABA services for children in their homes
  • Work as part of a specialized team under the direction of a BCBA who values your insights
  • Building parent partnerships through education and consultation services
  • Recommending programming goals
  • Conceptualizing and constructing client materials
  • Assisting with assessments and progress reports

As a Behavior Technician Specialist, you will report directly to a Behavior Analyst. This reporting structure creates the ideal opportunity for you to deliver exceptional client care while simultaneously achieving personal and professional growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

We value your experience and education! As an experienced BT you will be an essential part of your client’s treatment team.

In-Field Support

  • Assist with client programming; analyzing data to identify issues for supervisor
  • Provide support to BCBAs as requested
  • Provide Parent Education and Consultation services

Off-Site Support

  • Write first drafts of progress reports
  • Review client programs on Catalyst
  • Conduct Program Development
  • Assist with coordination of care
Qualifications
  • Punctual, good communication skills, interested in developing new skills
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Behavior Technician with children
  • Must be at least 18 years old by the first day of employment
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Reliable transportation required

Physical demands may vary by client assignment and include the ability to push, pull, and lift up to 35 pounds, as well as to move quickly based on client needs. Candidates should be able to sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk, and run as required.
