Job summary

CHOP - Soar Autism Center is seeking Behavior Technicians to help children ages 2-6 with autism through play-based ABA, applying the Early Start Denver Model in a supportive clinical setting.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma, are prepared to obtain RBT certification within six weeks of start, and have prior experience with children. Paid training, opportunities for raises, and a guaranteed 30 hours per week for full-time staff are offered.

Description

At CHOP - Soar Autism Center, Behavior Technicians help children ages 2-6 with autism learn, communicate, and grow through play. Our care is based on the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), a play-based approach to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This is a great early career opportunity to build hands-on experience in psychology and child development while making a meaningful impact every day.

This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about helping children grow and may come from childcare, daycare, paraprofessional, direct support, behavioral health, education, or caregiving backgrounds.

Provide one-on-one, play-based ABA therapy to young children in our center.

What We Offer

$21.50 - $28.50/hour; initial offers are typically $21.50-$22.75/hour, with regular bonus and promotion opportunities. Sign on bonus included with all offers.

What We’re Looking For

High school diploma or equivalent required (as verified by resume, application, or BACB attestation for RBT certification); preference for enrollment in or completion of a bachelor’s degree program, with ideal candidates pursuing degrees in child development, psychology, education, or a related field.

Experience working with children is preferred, including childcare, daycare, caregiving, paraprofessional, direct support, or behavioral health experience.

Ability to obtain and maintain RBT certification within 6 weeks of employment.

Reliable transportation, punctuality, teamwork, and comfort using computers/tablets.

Ability to sit, stand, kneel, move quickly, occasionally run short distances, and lift up to 50 lbs.
