Job summary

Amergis, formerly known as Maxim Healthcare Staffing, is seeking a Registered/Certified Behavior Technician to implement behavioral intervention plans under supervision in school settings.

The role collaborates with BCBA/BCABA and school professionals to facilitate ABA services and support learning and behavioral goals for children and adults with special needs. Strong preference for RBT certification and relevant experience.

Qualifications

• RBT certification or state CBT license required or as applicable by state.
• Minimum age 18; CPR may be required by contract/state.
• Supervision by a BCBA/BCABA is mandatory.
• Associates degree in behavioral studies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement behavioral intervention plans and ABA services as designed by a supervisor.
• Collaborate with school professionals and other behavioral specialists.
• Support learning and behavioral goals for children and adults with special needs.

Job description

The Registered/Certified Behavior Technician works to implement behavioral intervention plans and facilitate educational and behavioral services with children and adults with special needs and collaborates with school professionals and other behavioral specialists to achieve learning and behavioral goals and objectives. The Registered/Certified Behavior Technician can support implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapeutic services designed by a supervisor such as a BCBA.

Minimum Requirements

• + Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification and/or State Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) license (as applicable per state/contract)
• + Must be supervised by client BCBA or BCABA
• + One year relevant experience preferred
• + Associates degree in behavioral studies or related field preferred
• + Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• + Current CPR if applicable
• + TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• + Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• + Must be at least 18 years of age
