Job summary

Bista in Marana, AZ is seeking a Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide meaningful, play-based ABA therapy under supervision. You will support learners with special needs and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement behavior reduction strategies and track progress.

This hands-on role is active and requires you to be engaging, flexible, and able to move throughout a clinic. A high school diploma is required, with RBT certification preferred; training will be provided if needed.

Overview

Our team of Behavior Technicians play a vital role in supporting our learners in achieving their goals by creating opportunities to practice skills & implementing behavior reduction strategies. The primary function of this position is to provide meaningful, play-based ABA therapy for individuals with special needs. You will be supported by a multidisciplinary team truly committed to the individual success of each learner who works with Bista.

Work Schedule

• Flexible schedule within M-F 8am-6pm
• 12 Month Position
• Federal holidays observed which often involve three-day weekends

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to multi-task
• Effective communication skills
• Desire to be an integral role in helping special needs children reach their fullest potential
• Ability to pass a Human Performance Evaluation

Preferred Qualifications (but not required for hire)

• Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and maintains on a yearly basis with the BCBA (training will be provided if you do not have this certificate)
• Experience working with children of various age ranges
• Experience in behavior-based programming for individuals with Autism or other disabilities.
• Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Driver's License (required for Full time)

Educational Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
• Psychology as an area of study is preferred

Working Environment and Physical Expectations

Candidates should be comfortable supporting ABA therapy strategies under guidance of trained staff. This role is active and hands-on. Candidates should be able to stand, walk, possibly run and move throughout the day. Perform physical activities such as bending and lifting up to 50 pounds. All staff must be able to successfully complete a Human Performance Evaluation.
