Job summary

ABA Centers of Delaware is hiring Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) and Behavior Technicians (BT) in New Castle, Delaware. Starting pay includes $23.50/hour for RBTs and $21.25/hour for BTs, with final compensation based on experience, training, and education.

We provide paid training, mentorship, and a path to advance through our ABA Academy of Excellence, with ongoing support from BCBA supervision and career development opportunities across homes, schools, and clinics.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Availability during afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
  • Reliable transportation with a valid driver's license and insurance is required.
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and driving record review.
  • NJ candidates must be at least 21 years old with 1+ year experience in related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Direct client support and deliver ABA therapy in homes, schools, communities, or clinics.
  • Teach communication, social, and daily living skills under BCBA supervision.
  • Track progress and maintain data accuracy; document session information.
  • Collaborate with BCBAs, team members, and families; participate in team meetings and trainings.

What You'll Do
  • Direct Client Support

Requirements
What We're Looking For
Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Availability during afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and insurance
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and driving record review
  • NJ candidates must be at least 21 years of age and have a minimum of 1 year of experience working with children, in healthcare, or in a related field.
Position-Specific
  • Behavior Technician (BT): Complete a 40-hour paid training program over 2 consecutive weeks (at the same rate of pay), followed by precepting (hands-on supervision), and pass the RBT exam within 45 days (up to 3 weeks total)
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): Active certification in good standing; 1 week of paid training followed by precepting (hands-on supervision) (up to 2 weeks total)
  • Training availability (BT / RBT): Must be available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Preferred
  • Experience in childcare, education, or related fields
  • Experience working with children or adolescents
  • Prior exposure to ABA services
