Job summary

ABS Kids is seeking entry-level Behavior Technicians to support children with autism in home or clinic settings across California. The role offers flexible, part-time shifts, paid training, and opportunities to advance as you gain RBT certification.

You will use ABA techniques, play, and patience to teach real-life skills, collect data, and provide one-on-one support, helping families achieve brighter outcomes. Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience working with children or adults with special needs.
• Fluent in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
• Reliable transportation to travel to client homes and other locations.
• Ability to learn data collection software and basic office software.
• Willingness to participate in on-the-job training for RBT certification.

Responsibilities

• Make a difference in the life of a child.
• Use play, patience, and ABA therapy to teach real-life skills.
• Collect and record data on client behavior and progress.
• Provide one-on-one support to clients with autism spectrum disorder.
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for clients and staff.
• Help the child develop essential life skills such as motor skills, personal hygiene, daily living, potty training, social and emotional skills.
• Get up and down off floor often, move quickly.

Job Requirements

Are you bilingual in Spanish/English or another language? If so, you can earn an additional $1.00/hour (premium pay) when matched with bilingual-required client sessions.

$500-$1000 bonus for candidates based on experience.

We have variable part-time shifts available for entry-level Behavior Technicians up to seasoned RBTs.

Must have one of these availabilities, Monday - Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm, or 9:00am-6:00pm, or 12:00pm-7:00pm, or 3:00pm-7:00pm.
