Job summary

Instructional ABA Consultants in Oak Lawn, IL seeks a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to work 1:1 with autistic children using ABA to build communication, social, and daily living skills. Training is provided; no ABA experience is required.

You'll implement therapy plans under a BCBA supervisor, collect data, and maintain documentation within 24 hours. Opportunities exist for promotion and ongoing professional growth in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 6 months of experience with children (babysitting, tutoring, coaching, volunteering, etc.).
• Interest in psychology, education, or related fields.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with children using ABA to build communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Implement individualized therapy plans created by a BCBA supervisor.
• Collect data related to goals and behaviors.
• Develop play skills with autistic children; silliness is a must.
• File data and clinical documentation electronically within 24 hours.
• Attend mandatory trainings conducted by Instructional ABA Consultants.
• Proactively communicate with Behavior Analyst.
• Pipeline for promotion to Community Support Workers beyond RBT Certification.

Looking for meaningful work while gaining valuable hands-on experience in psychology, education, or child development? Join Instructional ABA Consultants (IABA) as a Behavior Technician and make a real impact in the lives of autistic children.

In this role, you'll work 1:1 with children using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to help build communication, social, and daily living skills. No ABA experience is required - we provide all the training you need to get started and grow in the field.

Pay And Training

• $19-$21/hr for client sessions and office work once RBT certified
• $17 hourly for training, modules, office work, and client sessions (pre-certification)
• $150 Sign-On Bonus after 3 months

What You Will Do

• Join your team for outings and team building activities
• Maintain confidentiality, ethical guidelines, policies including HIPAA laws and regulations

What We Are Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent education
• A minimum of 6 months of experience working with children (babysitting, tutoring, coaching, volunteering, etc.)
• Interest in psychology, education, or related fields
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle

Schedule

• Part-time and full-time positions available
• Daytime, evening (3:00-7:30 PM), and weekend shifts
• Minimum availability requirements: 3 weekday evenings and 1 weekend day
