Job summary

Strides ABA is seeking a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide in-home, community-based, or daycare ABA services under the supervision of a BCBA. The RBT will implement behavior plans, collect data, and use positive reinforcement to improve the client’s quality of life.

You will collaborate with the BCBA to adjust treatment plans, train caregivers, and maintain a safe, engaging learning environment while upholding HIPAA guidelines and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be RBT certified or willing to become certified.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for community and in-home services.

Job Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

Location: In-Home, Community Setting, or Daycare

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide in-home, community-based, or daycare services for children with developmental disabilities, under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The RBT will implement behavior plans, collect data, and use positive reinforcement techniques to improve the client's quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy in-home, in the community, or at a daycare center.
• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the BCBA.
• Accurately collect and record data on client behavior and progress.
• Collaborate with the BCBA to make data-driven decisions and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Assist in training caregivers and family members on behavior techniques.
• Ensure a safe and engaging learning environment for the client.
• Maintain professional, respectful, and compassionate interactions with clients and their families.

Qualifications:

• Must be RBT certified or willing to become certified (We provide resources for RBT certification if not currently certified).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds (due to the physical nature of the role and potential to assist clients with mobility).
• Ability to kneel, sit, stand, and move around frequently during sessions.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for community and in-home services).
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening, in accordance with state and federal laws.

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working in diverse environments, including homes, daycares, and public spaces.
• Flexibility in working hours to accommodate family schedules.
• Basic knowledge of ABA principles preferred but not required (training will be provided).

• Adherence to HIPAA guidelines for confidentiality and data protection.
• Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding child welfare and mandatory reporting.
• Physical ability to assist with safety protocols, including lifting or moving clients when needed.
