Job summary

Step Up Family Services is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / Behavior Technician (BT) to implement individualized ABA programs for children with ASD and other developmental disabilities. You will work under the direct supervision of a BCBA in home and/or center-based settings.

You will collect data, implement skill acquisition programs, and apply behavior reduction strategies while maintaining professional and ethical conduct.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; higher degree preferred.
• RBT certification preferred; must obtain within 90 days of employment if applicable.
• Experience with children or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes or centers as needed.
• Must pass background checks including criminal history and abuse registry screenings.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, bend, kneel, and sit on the floor for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy as directed by the supervising BCBA, following treatment plans.
• Record and maintain data on client progress using electronic data collection systems.
• Implement skill acquisition programs targeting communication, social, adaptive, and academic behaviors.
• Follow and apply behavior reduction protocols as designed by the BCBA.
• Assist with generalization of skills across environments, people, and settings.
• Provide reinforcement, prompting, and other ABA techniques per the client’s plan.
• Maintain professional conduct per BACB guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and team meetings.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the clinical team.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of clients at all times.

Position Summary

Services are provided under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in home and/or center-based settings.

Work Environment
