Base pay range
$16.00/hr - $28.00/hr
Job Summary: We are seeking a high-energy Behavior Technician/Paraprofessional to drive from client to client in the greater Orange County area and provide 1:1 ABA sessions, parent training, consulting, and interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing ABA intervention in-home, 1:1 sessions, parent training, and consulting
- Develops and maintains a professional relationship and rapport with families, client, and staff
- Records and analyzes data/session notes from daily sessions.
- Analyzes client data collection and data trends to make programming decisions/recommendations/implementations
- Conducts reliability data for parents on a monthly basis
- Able to articulate ASSC assessment and intervention planning guidelines, if needed
- Provides agendas, protocols, measurement systems and procedures for monitoring family progress toward goals
- Turns in all required paperwork and data sheets in timeframes outlined in the policies and procedures
- Maintain client program materials (i.e. electronic binders/files are kept current in terms of daily session notes and raw data; toys are appropriate for client; data sheets are available; teaching stimuli (toys) available and in working order)
- Meets/reports to supervisor on a weekly basis regarding cases
- Flexibility: is open and accepting to changes in cases and program delivery
- Responsible for maintaining communication between client families and supervisor
- Demonstrates leadership skills and leading by example
- Excellent oral and written communication, organization skills, professionalism, and a commitment to upholding the company's mission
- Receptive to feedback from supervisors in a positive manner
- Has demonstrated initiative in own professional development
- Time management: able to multi-task job demands in an effective manner; able to manage own schedule to meet required job tasks within delegated timelines
- Strong problem-solving skills
- High level of ethics and integrity required
Education
- High school or equivalent (required)
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, special education, child development, applied behavior analysis, or related field (preferred)
Requirement
- 1 year of ABA experience (preferred)
- Relevant ABA coursework (12 units). Experience may be substituted for the education requirements at the discretion of agency directors.
- 2 years of experience working directly with children with autism and/or development delays (preferred)
- Knowledge and understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis, Functional Communication Training, and Reinforcement strategies
- A valid driver's license and auto insurance
- Must pass a DOJ and FBI background check
- Bilingual in Spanish or Vietnamese (preferred)
- RBT Certification (preferred)
- Current TB test (preferred)
- Current CPR certificate (preferred)
- Must be willing to drive
- Reliable transportation is required
- Willingness to travel 100% of the time
Physical Requirement
- Must be able to run after an eloping child
- Frequent bending at the waist and knees and listing up to 30 lbs.
Work Location
- Multiple locations (Orange, Fullerton, Placentia, Buena Park, Anaheim, Garden Grove, Brea, Huntington Beach, Tustin, Santa Ana, Irvine, Lake Forest)
- Clinical rate range: $24-28 based on experience and education
- Drive time pay: $16
