Job summary

Capitol Academy & Capitol Elementary, Sacramento, CA, seeks a Behavior Technician / Paraeducator & Transporter to support students with special needs in classroom and community settings. You will implement behavior strategies and assist with instruction under BCBAs and teachers.

You will help students achieve academic, behavioral, social, and emotional goals, document progress, and collaborate with families and staff in a warm, structured environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
• Must pass fingerprint clearance and TB Test.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral and academic support to students in small-group or 1:1 settings.
• Implement strategies under the guidance of BCBAs and teachers.
• Encourage positive social and communication skills.
• Maintain detailed data and documentation of student progress.
• Safely transport students using school vehicles (training provided).
• Communicate professionally with staff, students, and families.
