The Behavior Health Technician assists counselors, therapeutic staff, and nursing personnel by providing clinical support to adults and children receiving substance abuse, mental health, or co‑occurring disorder services in residential programs, inpatient settings, day/evening programs, outpatient programs, and community-based programs. Responsibilities include: establishing a positive helping relationship with clients; assisting with activities of daily living, accessing needed resources, and building functional, pro‑social relationships; ensuring the health, safety, and well‑being of clients; implementing specific interventions according to treatment or service plans; monitoring and documenting client progress.
Base pay ranges from $15.00 to $16.12 per hour, based on experience.
