Job summary

LifeView Group in Pensacola, FL seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to support counselors and nursing staff across residential, inpatient, day/evening, outpatient, and community programs.

You will assist with daily living activities, ensure safety, monitor progress, and document outcomes while implementing plan-based interventions. A High School Diploma or GED is required, CPR certification preferred, and CPI training will be provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of experience in behavioral health preferred.
• Must obtain CPR certification.
• Must complete CPI training.
• Must complete 20 hours of CCA training.
• Must pass Human Trafficking training within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to provide integrated mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring services.

Overview

A Behavior Health Technician assists the counselors/therapeutic/nursing staff by providing clinical support to adults and children who are receiving substance abuse, mental health services or co-occurring disorders in residential programs, inpatient settings, day/evening programs, outpatient programs and/or community-based programs.

• Establishing a positive helping relationship with persons receiving services.
• Assisting persons receiving services to complete activities of daily living, including accessing needed resources, and building functional, pro-social relationships with others.
• Ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of person receiving services.
• Implementing specific interventions according to the person’s treatment or service plan.
• Monitoring and documenting the person’s progress.

Role Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One (1) year of experience working in a behavioral health setting is preferred.
• Must be able to obtain provided CPR certification.
• Must be able to pass provided CPI training.
• Must be able to complete the 20 hours of the required CCA (Child Caring Agency) training that is provided.
• Must be able to pass Human Trafficking training and certification within 60 days of hire.
• Must be able to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families, as required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work other behavioral health programs as needed.
• Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license from the state in which you reside, a good driving record and be insurable under the corporate policy.

Compensation

Base pay ranges from $15.00 - $16.12 an hour based on experience. Shift differential pay ($2.00- $4.00) is available if applicable.
