Job summary

LifeView Group seeks a Behavior Health Technician to support counselors, nursing staff and clients across residential, inpatient, day/evening, outpatient and community programs in Pensacola, FL.

You will establish positive relationships, assist with daily living activities, help clients access resources, monitor wellbeing, and document progress per the treatment plan. CPR and CPI training are required, and a valid driver’s license is needed. Competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.
• Must obtain CPR certification.
• Must complete CPI training.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Must pass background screenings as appropriate.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Overview:

The Behavior Health Technician position assists the counselors/therapeutic/nursing staff by providing clinical support to adults and children who are receiving substance abuse, mental health services or co-occurring disorders in residential programs, inpatient settings, day/evening programs, outpatient programs and/or community-based programs. This position is responsible for but is not limited to: Establishing a positive helping relationship with people receiving services. Assisting those receiving services to complete activities of daily living, including accessing needed resources, and building functional, pro-social relationships with others. Ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of those receiving services. Implementing specific interventions according to the person’s treatment or service plan. Monitoring and documenting the person’s progress.

Role Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One (1) year of experience working in a behavioral health setting is preferred.
• Must be able to obtain provided CPR certification.
• Must be able to pass provided CPI training.
• Must be able to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families, as required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work other behavioral health programs as needed.
• Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background
  screenings as appropriate.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license from the state in which you reside, a good driving record and be insurable under the corporate policy.

Compensation:

Base pay ranges from $15.00 - $16.12 an hour. Salary is based on experience.
