Job summary

Proud Moments ABA is seeking a compassionate team member to support children with autism in a hybrid setting, visiting homes and centers in New York. The role offers evening and weekend options to align with families’ needs.

You will implement behavioral plans under supervision, collect progress data, and help train families. A supportive, team-oriented environment and opportunities for growth are emphasized.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prior experience working with children preferred.
  • Prior experience providing support to children with developmental delays or special needs preferred.
  • Exposure to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities is preferred, training provided.
  • Reliable transportation to assigned locations.
  • HIPAA confidentiality and strict privacy expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Work one-on-one with a client in their home to implement behavioral plans designed by BCBA/LBA.
  • Collect data to monitor progress of the treatment plan and report progress.
  • Support BCBA with training families on implementing treatment plans.
  • Be responsive to the needs of clients, families, and supervisors.
  • Maintain clear communication with families and supervisors.

Responsibilities


  • Work one-on-one with a client in their home to implement behavioral plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

  • Collect data to monitor the progress and effectiveness of the individualized treatment plan and report progress

  • Support BCBA with training families on implementing individualized treatment plans

  • Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors

  • Maintain clear lines of communication with families, supervisors, and other applicable parties

  • Physically keep up with clients as they move about the session area(s). This will require many physical activities including, but not limited to, standing, sitting, bending, lifting 25+ pounds, running, squatting, kneeling, and generally keeping pace with children from 2-15 years old

  • Any other tasks outlined by BCBA/LBA


Qualifications


  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Prior experience working with children preferred

  • Prior experience providing support to children or adults with behavioral challenges, developmental delays, or special needs preferred

  • Exposure to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities is preferred, though comprehensive training will be provided

  • Reliable personal transportation with the ability to commute consistently to assigned work locations

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of client, family, and organizational information in accordance with HIPAA and company policies

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, client-focused environment

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to follow detailed instructions and document information accurately

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to stay organized and adapt to changing schedules or priorities

  • $19-22 an hour
