Job summary

Alternatives, Inc. in South Bound Brook, NJ is hiring a full-time Behavior Technician to support adults with developmental disabilities in a residential setting.

You will assist with daily living activities, administer medications, and enable community participation while maintaining safety and documentation. We offer paid trainings, mileage reimbursement, 401K, health and dental insurance, and PSLF loan forgiveness eligibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks and a drug screen.
• TB screening is required.
• CPR/First Aid, medication administration, and positive behavioral support training required.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist adults with daily living activities in a residential home.
• Administer medications, assist with meals and personal hygiene.
• Provide transportation to medical appointments.
• Implement individual behavioral plans and teach new skills.
• Encourage community outings and document health and safety concerns.
