Job description

We are searching for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who is able to provide 1:1 services. The position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and supervision from experienced BCBA's.

GENERAL ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide 1:1 ABA services to clients in home, community, or clinic settings.
2. Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients and their families.
3. Implement treatment plans as outlined by the BCBA.
4. Seek appropriate consultation on treatment plans, as needed.
5. Record data for all goals during ABA sessions.
6. Communicate effectively, both in written and verbal formats, with parents about the client’s progress.
7. Utilize de-escalation techniques for behaviors not included in the client’s treatment plan.
8. Participate in meetings with the BCBA, parents, and other team members, as needed.
9. Assist the BCBA with assessment and reassessment procedures.
10. Maintain a safe and organized therapy environment.
11. Maintain client confidentiality.
12. Attend trainings required to maintain and acquire technical knowledge.
13. Respond to feedback given by the BCBA during supervision meetings.
14. Adhere to the ethical standards outlined by the BACB.
15. Assist with the preparation of client materials.
16. Work at the in-clinic location: 875 Military Trail, Jupiter, FL 33458.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

1. Participate in trainings, which may be in person or via video conferencing.
2. Provide direct behavior analytic services in the child’s school and home.
3. Ensure video conferencing is available for supervision observations.
4. Supervision will occur weekly.
5. Take part in weekly team meetings with the family and BCBA.

SKILLS

1. Ability to accept and respond to constructive feedback.
2. Effective time management skills.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Ability to interpret and implement clinical protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (not required to get hired).
2. Minimum 1-year experience working with children.
3. Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation.
4. CPR certification.
5. Completion of a Level 2 background clearance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Must be able to lift and carry clients up to 50 pounds.
2. Must be able to assume and maintain various postures (e.g., kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods.
