ABA Centers of New Jersey is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician (BT) to provide ABA therapy across homes, schools, and clinics in Hackensack, NJ. The role includes data collection, progress tracking, and collaboration with BCBA supervisors and families.

Starting pay is $22.25/hour for BTs with potential for higher compensation based on experience and credentials. Paid training, mentorship, and a clear path toward RBT certification are offered through our ABA Academy of Excellence.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6+ months of relevant experience (including internships or related roles) preferred.
• Availability during afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and driving record review.
• NJ candidates must be at least 21 years of age and have a minimum of 1 year of experience working with children, in healthcare, or in a related field.

Responsabilidades

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6+ months of relevant experience (including internships or related roles)
• Availability during afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and insurance
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and driving record review
• NJ candidates must be at least 21 years of age and have a minimum of 1 year of experience working with children, in healthcare, or in a related field.

Position-Specific

• Behavior Technician (BT): Complete a 40-hour paid training program over 2 consecutive weeks (at the same rate of pay), followed by precepting (hands-on supervision), and pass the RBT exam within 45 days (up to 3 weeks total)
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): Active certification in good standing; 1 week of paid training followed by precepting (hands-on supervision) (up to 2 weeks total)
• Training availability (BT / RBT): Must be available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Preferred

• Experience in childcare, education, or related fields
• Experience working with children or adolescents
• Prior exposure to ABA services
