Job summary

HireCare Services in Chapel Hill, NC seeks a part-time Behavior Technician (BT) / ABA Therapist to deliver in-home ABA therapy to children with autism and related developmental needs. You will work 15–25 hours weekly, 1:1 sessions under BCBA supervision, focusing on communication, social and daily living skills.

This role emphasizes flexible scheduling, mentorship from experienced BCBAs, hands-on training, and meaningful family-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with children or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Strong communication and a patient, positive approach.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently in home settings.
• Active RBT certification is a plus; training support available.

Responsibilities

Your Role as a Behavior Technician (BT)

In this role, you will provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy in a home-based setting under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will help children build essential communication, social, and daily living skills through structured interventions and play-based learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement individualized ABA programs developed by your supervising BCBA

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred)

• Strong communication skills and a patient, positive approach

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently in home settings

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)

• Willingness to learn and grow in the ABA field

• Active RBT certification is a plus, but not required (training support available)

Schedule

• Part-time positions available

• Afternoon and after-school hours (Monday–Friday)

• Occasional weekend availability based on client needs

• Approximately 15–25 hours per week, depending on availability

Compensation

$20–$25 per hour
