This is an active, hands-on role that involves working directly with children in a variety of settings, including clinics, homes, schools, and community environments. Registered Behavior Technicians must be able to frequently sit, stand, kneel, crouch, and transition between floor-level and standing positions. The role may require lifting or physically supporting children weighing up to 40-50 pounds, as clinically appropriate; participating in active play and movement-based learning activities; physically prompting or modeling skills as outlined in individualized treatment plans; responding quickly to support client safety; maintaining the physical stamina needed to provide multiple sessions throughout the day; and working effectively in environments that may include loud noises or unpredictable behaviors.
