Job summary

Position Overview

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. As a Behavior Technician, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with autism.

In this role, you will work one‑on‑one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will use evidence‑based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors. Children can be unpredictable and potentially confrontational; this role requires a strong and resilient spirit.

Responsibilities

• Work one‑on‑one with children to implement individualized behavior intervention plans.
• Apply evidence‑based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Assist in reducing interfering behaviors under the supervision of a BCBA.
• Stand, walk, sit, grasp, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, squat, lift, and carry children or objects weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for each child.
• Track progress and contribute to treatment data collection.
• Collaborate closely with the BCBA and team peers.
• Maintain professional boundaries while implementing interventions.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and capable of teamwork.
• Age 18 + with high‑school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid certification, and TB test if not performed within the last year.
• Pass a pre‑employment background check.
• Physical ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.) and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $17 – $20 per hour.
