Job summary

The May Institute is seeking a Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one ABA therapy at our West Springfield Center, supporting children in communication, social, and daily living skill development. Under supervision by BCBA professionals, you will implement BSPs, collect progress data, and collaborate with families to ensure effective treatment.

A passion for evidence-based practice and flexibility for daytime/evening hours is required.

Qualifications

• Valid U.S. driver’s license with at least 1 year of driving experience; reliable transportation and willingness to travel.
• Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Interest in evidence-based ABA practices and ongoing learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one, evidence-based ABA therapy to help children develop communication, social, play, and daily living skills.
• Implement individualized behavior support plans (BSPs) and assist in reducing challenging behaviors.
• Collect data, track progress, and collaborate with supervisors (BCBAs) to ensure effective treatment.
• Work with a team of BCBAs, therapists, and support staff to deliver consistent interventions.
