Job summary

Kyo is a leading ABA therapy provider seeking a Behavior Therapist to work with children in various Sacramento-area locations. The role focuses on play-based ABA and collaboration with families and the clinical team to achieve meaningful goals.

Responsibilities include data collection, progress tracking, and delivering high-quality support. Training is provided, and eligibility for RBT certification/licensure is encouraged; travel between sites is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a supportive setting.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain RBT certification or applicable licensure.
• Availability for weekday afternoons (3–7 pm).
• Reliable transportation and valid in-state license with insurance.
• Able to pass DOJ/FBI background checks and TB test.

Pay Range: $20.50 - $24.00

AS A BEHAVIOR THERAPIST YOU WILL:

• Use play-based ABA therapy to help children with autism achieve meaningful goals at home, in school, and in the community - grounded in evidence‑based practices.
• Collect data to track each child’s progress and partner with caregivers and your clinical team to deliver consistent, high‑quality support.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience: Prior experience working with children while demonstrating a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
• Education: High school diploma and willingness to obtain & maintain Registered Behavior Technician certification or applicable state licensure.
• Availability: Weekday afternoon availability required (3-7pm).
• Transportation: Reliable vehicle with valid in-state driver’s license and insurance. Willingness to travel approximately 45 minutes between work locations, with paid drive time.
• Technology Skills: Basic computer skills, including experience using a tablet and ability to navigate various online platforms. Access to a smartphone is a requirement of this position.
• Background Check: Ability to pass DOJ/FBI background check including fingerprinting and TB test (if applicable).
• Physical Ability: The job involves extensive standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, and crouching. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Ability to communicate clearly and participate in physical and play-based therapies.
