Kyo Autism Therapy in Oakland, CA is seeking a Behavior Therapist to provide play-based ABA therapy to children with autism in homes, schools, and community settings.

You will collect data, monitor progress with caregivers and the clinical team, and participate in ongoing training. The role requires weekday afternoon availability (3-7pm), reliable transportation, and the ability to pass background checks and TB testing where applicable.

Formación

• Experience working with children in educational or therapeutic settings.
• High school diploma and willingness to obtain/maintain RBT certification or state licensure.
• Availability for weekday afternoons (3-7pm).
• Reliable vehicle with valid in-state license and insurance; travel between locations possible.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use tablets and various online platforms.
• Ability to pass DOJ/FBI background check and TB test where applicable.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, bend and lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay Range: $24.25 - $27.75

AS A BEHAVIOR THERAPIST YOU WILL:

• Use play-based ABA therapy to help children with autism achieve meaningful goals at home, in school, and in the community - grounded in evidence-based practices.
• Collect data to track each child’s progress and partner with caregivers and your clinical team to deliver consistent, high-quality support.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience: Prior experience working with children while demonstrating a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
• Education: High school diploma and willingness to obtain & maintain Registered Behavior Technician certification or applicable state licensure.
• Availability: Weekday afternoon availability required (3-7pm).
• Transportation: Reliable vehicle with valid in-state driver’s license and insurance. Willingness to travel approximately 45 minutes between work locations, with paid drive time.
• Technology Skills: Basic computer skills, including experience using a tablet and ability to navigate various online platforms. Access to a smartphone is a requirement of this position.
• Background Check: Ability to pass DOJ/FBI background check including fingerprinting and TB test (if applicable).
• Physical Ability: The job involves extensive standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, and crouching. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Ability to communicate clearly and participate in physical and play-based therapies.
