Step Forward ABA is seeking a Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children using evidence-based ABA methods. You will implement behavior plans, monitor progress, and adjust strategies to promote independence and social skills.

We value RBT certification (preferred), reliable transportation, and the ability to travel to in-home settings. Spanish-speaking skills are a plus. Competitive wages with benefits are offered for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Pass a National Criminal Background check.
• RBT Certification (preferred).
• Complete RBT certification within 30 days of employment.
• Reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel and work in-home settings.
• Spanish-speaking skills are a plus but not required.
• Must be able to engage with children, including lifting up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children using ABA techniques to promote independence and growth.
• Implement and monitor behavior plans; adjust strategies as needed.
• Restructure environments to support positive outcomes and reduce challenging behaviors.
• Collect data and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate with behavior analysts, families, and peers to coordinate activities.

• Work one-on-one with children using evidence-based ABA techniques to promote independence, social skills, and personal growth through fun and interactive activities tailored to each child’s unique needs.
• Teaching skills to enhance communication and functioning
• Implementing and facilitating behavior plans, monitoring outcomes, and adjusting strategies as needed
• Restructuring environments to support positive outcomes and reduce problematic behaviors
• Collecting data and maintaining accurate records
• Communicating with behavior analysts, families, and peers to coordinate activities and advocate for individual needs
• Completing daily progress notes and maintaining accurate records

Pay Ranges Based on Experience & Education:

Pay: $19.00 - $26.00 per hour

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Pass a National Criminal Background check
• RBT Certification (preferred)
• Completion of RBT certification process within 30 days of employment
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to physically engage with children in a fast-paced environment, lifting up to 30lbs and maintaining a safe and tidy workspace.
• Spanish-speaking skills are a plus but not required.
• Must be willing to travel and work in-home settings.
• Childcare (nanny, babysitter, preschool teacher, tutor, etc.) (Preferred)
• Mental health advocates and professionals (QMHP, behavioral health technicians) (Preferred)
• Camp counselors, volunteers, youth faith group leaders or youth coaching (Preferred)
• Degrees in special education, teaching, psychology, sociology, or related fields (Preferred)
• Experience as direct support, paraprofessionals, or life skills assistants (Preferred)
