Job summary

Soar Autism Center in Peoria, AZ is seeking a Behavior Technician to deliver one-on-one ABA therapy to children aged 2-6 using the Early Start Denver Model framework. You will work under Masters-level clinicians, following tailored intervention plans and maintaining regular communication with families about progress.

The role requires a high school diploma with a strong preference for candidates pursuing or possessing degrees in Child Development or Psychology.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required (as verified by resume/Apllication/BACB attestation)
• Strong preference for enrollment in or completion of a degree program in child development or psychology
• Ability to achieve and maintain RBT certification within first 6 weeks (training provided)
• RBT certification required for CO Springs location
• Previous experience with children and enjoyment working with children

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children aged 2-6 in our clinic, adhering to high professional standards
• Implement intervention plans crafted by Masters-level clinicians, aligned with ABA principles
• Foster relationships with families and update them on progress within the ABA framework
• Engage in ongoing training and development to stay current with ABA therapy advances and RBT certification

As we strive to innovate and build a better model of care for kids, the role of the Behavior Technician or RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) becomes paramount. Our methods draw from the principles of the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), a play-based form of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children aged 2-6 in our clinic, adhering to the profession\'s high standards
• Implement intervention plans crafted by our expert Masters-level clinicians, ensuring alignment with Applied Behavioral Analysis therapy principles
• Foster relationships with families, consistently updating them on their child\'s progress within the ABA framework
• Engage in ongoing training and development, keeping up-to-date with advancements in ABA therapy and RBT certification

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, or equivalent, is required (as verified by resume, application,or BACB attestation for RBT certification)
• Strong preference for either enrollment in or completion of a degree program. Bonus for degrees in Child Development, Psychology, or related fields
• Ability to achieve and maintain RBT certification within first 6 weeks of employment(Soar will provide paid training)
• RBT certification required for CO Springs location
• Previous experience with children and enjoyment working with children
• Must have reliable transportation to both training location and local center. Punctuality isessential
• Must be able to meet the following physical requirements: sit and stand frequently, shift positions quickly, lift up to 50 lbs., sit/kneel on the floor for extended periods of time, sit in a chair, stand, walk, and occasionally run short distances to catch up with a client
• Computer and tablet literacy
• Ability to work on a team

What We Offer:

• $21.50 - $28.50/hour with regular bonus and promotion opportunities. The initial offer hourly pay will be between $21.50 - $22.75. All staff members are considered every 3 months for a raise or promotion
