Job summary

Magical Moments ABA is seeking a part-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide direct client care in ABA settings in Newport News, VA. You will collect data, follow BCBA-driven plans, and maintain a supportive environment for clients and families.

Responsibilities include data entry with Central Reach, professional collaboration with therapists, and adherence to HIPAA and ethics codes. Requires 6+ months ABA exposure and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• ABA experience preferred (6+ months).
• Knowledge of general ABA practices.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care in one-on-one and group settings following the treatment plan by the BCBA.
• Collect and record data on client behavior and progress using Central Reach.
• Maintain a safe, empathetic, and supportive environment for clients and families.
• Collaborate and communicate professionally with therapists, providers, BCBAs, caregivers, and other professionals for program implementation.
• Take direction and feedback from supervising staff (BCBA/BCaBA).
• Complete required training related to guidelines, compliance, and regulations.
• Accurately record appointments and comply with billing and payroll policies.
• Adhere to RBT ethics and HIPAA/privacy policies.
• Communicate progress and intervention findings to clients, parents, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with BCBAs to adjust therapy plans based on progress.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care in one-on-one and group settings, following the protocols outlined in the treatment plan created by BCBA

• Collect and record data on client behavior and progress using Central Reach

• Maintain a safe, empathetic, and supportive environment for clients and families

• Work collaboratively and communicate professionally with other therapists, providers, BCBAs, caregivers, and other professionals for effective program implementation

• Ability to take direction and feedback from the supervising staff (BCBA/BCaBA)

• Complete required training related to organization guidelines, compliance, state and federal regulations

• Accurately record appointments in practice management software daily and comply with billing and payroll policies

• Adhere to RBT ethics code and ensures all patient privacy policies, HIPAA compliance and confidentiality

• Communicate with clients, parents, and caregivers regarding client progress and behavioral intervention findings

• Collaborate with BCBAs to adjust therapy plans based on client progress and emerging needs
