Job summary

Soar Autism Center is seeking a Behavior Technician to deliver one-on-one ABA therapy to young children in our clinic, following ESDM and ABA guidelines. You will work under Masters-level clinicians, implementing plans and tracking progress.

You will also partner with families to share updates and support home strategies. Ideal candidates pursue or hold degrees in Child Development or Psychology, and aim to obtain RBT certification within 6 weeks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, verified by resume or BACB attestation for RBT.
• Preference for enrollment or completion of a degree in Child Development, Psychology, or related fields.
• Ability to achieve and maintain RBT certification within 6 weeks; paid training provided.
• RBT certification required for CO Springs location.
• Reliable transportation to training location and local center; punctuality essential.
• Must meet physical requirements: sit/stand, lift up to 50 lbs, walk and run short distances.
• Computer and tablet literacy; ability to work on a team.

Responsibilities

Our methods draw from the principles of the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), a play-based form of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy. Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children aged 2-6 in our clinic, adhering to the profession's high standards
• Implement intervention plans crafted by our expert Masters-level clinicians, ensuring alignment with Applied Behavioral Analysis therapy principles
• Foster relationships with families, consistently updating them on their child's progress within the ABA framework
• Engage in ongoing training and development, keeping up-to-date with advancements in ABA therapy and RBT certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent, is required (as verified by resume, application, or BACB attestation for RBT certification)
• Strong preference for either enrollment in or completion of a degree program. Bonus for degrees in Child Development, Psychology, or related fields
• Ability to achieve and maintain RBT certification within first 6 weeks of employment (Soar will provide paid training)
  • RBT certification required for CO Springs location
• Previous experience with children and enjoyment working with children
• Must have reliable transportation to both training location and local center. Punctuality is essential
• Must be able to meet the following physical requirements: sit and stand frequently, shift positions quickly, lift up to 50 lbs., sit/kneel on the floor for extended periods of time, sit in a chair, stand, walk, and occasionally run short distances to catch up with a client
• Computer and tablet literacy

What We Offer

• $21.50 - $28.50/hour with regular bonus and promotion opportunities. The initial offer hourly pay will be between $21.50 - $22.75. All staff members are considered every 3 months for a raise or promotion
