Job summary

Soar Autism Center is seeking a Behavior Technician (RBT) to deliver one-on-one ABA therapy to children aged 2-6 in our Colorado clinic. You will follow plans prepared by Masters-level clinicians and regularly update families on each child’s progress within the ABA framework.

We provide paid training to achieve RBT certification, opportunities for career growth in ABA and related fields, and comprehensive benefits. A minimum 30 hours per week is guaranteed for full-time roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; RBT certification required.
• Preference for degree courses in Child Development or Psychology.
• RBT certification to be achieved within 6 weeks with paid training.

Job description

At Soar Autism Center, we are dedicated to enhancing the lives of children on the autism spectrum. As we strive to innovate and build a better model of care for kids, the role of the Behavior Technician or RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) becomes paramount. Through our specialized approach, we empower these children, guiding them towards their full potential. Our methods draw from the principles of the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), a play-based form of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy. Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children aged 2-6 in our clinic, adhering to the profession's high standards.
• Implement intervention plans crafted by our expert Masters-level clinicians, ensuring alignment with Applied Behavioral Analysis therapy principles.
• Foster relationships with families, consistently updating them on their child's progress within the ABA framework.
• Engage in ongoing training and development, keeping up-to-date with advancements in ABA therapy and RBT certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, verified by resume, application, or BACB attestation for RBT certification.
• Strong preference for enrollment in or completion of a degree program; bonus for degrees in Child Development, Psychology, or related fields.
• Ability to achieve and maintain RBT certification within the first 6 weeks of employment (Soar will provide paid training).
• RBT certification required for CO Springs location.
• Previous experience with children and enjoyment working with children.
• Must have reliable transportation to both training location and local center; punctuality is essential.
• Must be able to meet the following physical requirements: sit and stand frequently, shift positions quickly, lift up to 50 lbs., sit/kneel on the floor for extended periods of time, sit in a chair, stand, walk, and occasionally run short distances to catch up with a client.
• Computer and tablet literacy.
• Ability to work on a team.

• $21.50 – $28.50/hour with regular bonus and promotion opportunities. Initial offer hourly pay will be between $21.50 – $22.75. All staff members are considered every 3 months for a raise or promotion.
