Job summary

Merakey seeks a Behavior Technician for our East Freedom, PA program. You will work one-on-one with autistic students, following IEPs and PBSPs to help them reach academic and behavioral goals in a trauma-informed setting.

No experience required—paid training is provided. Earn $18.50/hour in a full-day Monday–Friday schedule, 8:30am–3:15pm, with opportunities to grow within a compassionate team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Full school day hours: 8:30am – 3:15pm, Monday–Friday.
• 3–6 months experience with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Experience with autism preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete timely ongoing data collection and documentation.
• Provide behavioral and physical interventions as trained.
• Monitor client progress and record relevant data.
• Assist with activities and daily living including toileting and grooming.
• Collaborate with families and school team for continuity of care.
• Follow client IEP and PBSP and implement reinforcement plans.
• Participate in required trainings and perform other duties as assigned.

• Availability to work Full Day of 8:15 am - 3:15 pm Monday – Friday
• 3-6 months of experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Experience working with children with autism is preferred.

Earn $ 18.50/hour. Monday – Friday Full School Day 8:30am – 3:15pm.

As a Behavior Technician you will work one on one in our school setting, where you will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of autistic/emotional support students who are all unique and amazing! Following each child’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) and Positive Behavior Support Plan (PBSP), you will help the student achieve their academic and behavioral goals. Your dedication and empathy will help our students learn in a trauma-informed environment. In this role, you will be part of a team where you can have fun and be an integral part of our students’ development.

• Complete timely ongoing data collection, including parent/staff correspondence and all required documentation.
• Provide behavioral interventions and physical interventions as needed. Physical interventions may range from simple prompting and/or guided transport up to, and including, physical restraint of client. Interventions vary based on program regulations and appropriate training is provided based on same.
• Monitor client performance and record relevant data to assess progress.
• Accompany and assist client(s)/student(s) with activities and daily living which may include assisting with toileting and grooming.
• Collaborate with families and team for continuity of care.
• Provide behavioral interventions and physical interventions as needed. Physical interventions may range from simple prompting and/or guided transport up to, and including, physical restraint of client. Interventions vary based on program regulations and appropriate training is provided based on same.
• Implement and follow through with client/student behavior plan as well as individualized reinforcement systems for individual client assigned.
• Complete required training(s)as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
