Owasso Public Schools seeks a Behavior Support Technician to provide behavior supports to students under the direction of the site principal. The role includes 1:1 and group interventions, collaboration with teachers, and consistent implementation of behavior protocols.
The incumbent will assist with transitions, maintain confidentiality, and participate in required training while supporting classroom success within the Owasso Elementary Schools.

Basic knowledge of disabilities. Will require lifting of students for proper positioning to prevent deformity and enhance comfort and stability, also transferring of students to toilet, floor wedge, bolster ball and other therapeutic equipment. While performing the duties of this job, you must be able to sit in classroom chairs at a desk for up to an hour at a time. Frequently walk the hallways the length of the school.

Work environment can at times be very stressful but is usually calm. There can be many interruptions in routine due to student behavior or making accommodations. Must have their own transportation to sites.
