HOME CARE PREFERENCE LLC in Goodlettsville, TN is seeking a Behavior Support Specialist to empower individuals with IDD, autism, and behavioral challenges to increase independence and quality of life.

You will work alongside experienced Behavior Analysts, provide personal care, implement behavior support strategies, document progress, and collaborate with families to support treatment goals in a compassionate, HIPAA-compliant environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD), autism, or behavioral challenges is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Caregiving, healthcare, education, or related field experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living assistance (bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene).
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding following dietary needs and safety guidelines.
• Administer medications and provide first aid per healthcare instructions and policy.
• Implement individualized behavior support strategies developed by the Behavior Analyst.
• Encourage independence, communication, social development, and life skills.
• Create a safe, respectful environment that promotes dignity and well-being.
• Document services and progress accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with Behavior Analysts, families, and team members to monitor progress.

What You'll Do

• Accurately document services, behavioral observations, and progress while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with Behavior Analysts, families, and other team members to monitor progress and support treatment goals.
• Respond calmly and professionally to challenging situations using evidence-based behavior management techniques.

• Experience in childcare or human services is a plus.
