Job summary

Education Jobs NJ is seeking to fill a Level II Paraprofessional role at Atlantic County Special Services. You will assist BCBA, teachers and aides in implementing instructional or behavior intervention plans aligned with students' IEPs.

The position emphasizes collaboration with the behavior team, data collection, and reporting, with responsibilities including training staff and maintaining a positive learning environment. Ten months or eleven months contracts offered.

Qualifications

• Must hold Registered Behavior Technician Certification.
• Two years (60 credits) of college coursework or ParaPro assessment plus/or specialized training.
• Experience with students with disabilities preferred.
• Ability to implement behavior modification plans and train staff.
• Strong record-keeping and data reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to students and staff in Applied Behavior Analysis, Functional Analysis, Behavior Acquisition and Reduction, and Adaptive Life Skills per BCBA/ CST guidance.
• Participate as an active member of the behavior team led by the BCBA.
• Provide ongoing training and modeling for school personnel and families as applicable.
• Communicate professionally within the school community and with outside agencies.
• Assist with development, monitoring, and maintaining a positive reinforcement system for students.
