HeartShare is seeking a dedicated Behavior Support Coach to join our preschool special education team in Howard Beach, NY. You will support behavioral development in children ages 3-5, assess and implement individualized strategies, and collaborate with families and a multidisciplinary team to meet educational goals.

In this role, you will work with children ages 3-5 to support their behavioral development in a nurturing, play-based environment. You will have the opportunity to assess, plan and implement individualized behavior strategies, collaborating with families, teacher and a multidisciplinary team to help children achieve their educational and developmental goals.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, talk and hear. Walk to and from various locations in the building. May need to stoop, bend, and sometimes lift or push wheelchairs of children being served. Physical intervention techniques may be required to aid the children in challenging moments. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision and ability to focus. Performs other job-related duties as assigned, consistent with the scope, responsibilities, and level of the position, and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
