Job summary

Clear Creek ISD is seeking an Aide for Behavior Monitoring Support Services (BMSS) to assist identified students with disabilities in a district specialized social development class. The role supports instruction and behavior interventions under the supervision of the teacher.

Responsibilities include implementing behavior plans, maintaining confidentiality, and documenting student data, with duties aligned to CCISD core values and district mission.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Educational Aide II certification required.
• 48 college hours or passing score on Paraprofessional Exam.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Minimum of 8 hours training in physical restraint and crises intervention.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher by providing instruction and behavioral interventions for assigned students.
• Use safe procedures of physical intervention with acting-out students.
• Implement reinforcement for student behaviors (positive/negative).
• Supervise time-out and/or isolation of students.
• Monitor and document data for student records.
• Assist in preparation of instructional materials and routine records.
• Monitor students in settings outside the special education classroom.
• Maintain student confidentiality at all times.
• May supervise classroom activities in the absence of the teacher.
• Contribute to CCISD core values and district mission.
