Job summary

Merakey is seeking a Behavior Specialist to join our team in West Lawn, PA. Earn $31.71/hour while working with a dedicated treatment team to implement recovery‑oriented plans for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health diagnoses.

The role involves delivering therapeutic services in multiple settings, designing behavioral supports, and training staff. PA driver's license required and licensure eligibility in several related credentials is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in psychology, counseling, applied behavior analysis or another health and human service-related field.
• Licensed in PA or license eligible as an Behavior Specialist (LBS), LMFT, LSW, LCSW, LPC or BCBA.
• At least one year experience in behavioral health with mental health/developmental disabilities.
• Valid PA Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with treatment team to assess and direct recovery-oriented treatment plans.
• Providing intensive therapeutic services in diverse settings (community, schools, residences).
• Leading development and monitoring of behavioral support interventions.
• Providing individual and group treatment and support tailored to each individual's needs.

Position Details

The Behavioral Specialist will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with other members of the treatment team, assessing, designing, and directing the implementation of a recovery-oriented treatment and support plan that uses a person-centered approach for children and adults with a developmental disability and mental health diagnosis.
• Providing intensive therapeutic services in all types of settings, including but not limited to community living arrangements, schools, community settings, natural support residences, and more.
• Leading development and monitoring of behavioral support interventions and/or collaborating with external behavior support professionals.
• Providing individual and group treatment and support, choosing applicable modalities according to each individual’s/family’s needs and treatment plan.
• Collecting, evaluating, and presenting behavioral data through a functional behavioral assessment process.
• Conducting trainings related to the implementation of person-centered plans.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• At least one year experience in the behavioral health field working with individuals with mental health/developmental disabilities.
