Qualifications

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Conduct virtual FBAs and support students with behavioral health needs, in accordance with state and federal regulations.
    • Design and implement individualized BIPs and fade plans remotely using evidence-based ABA strategies.
    • Provide virtual professional development and coaching to educators, paraeducators, and families on behavior supports and trauma-informed practices.
    • Collaborate virtually with IEP teams to design and monitor positive behavior strategies.
    • Support students during transitions, including those from alternative programs to general education settings.
    • Supervise registered behavior technicians (RBTs) working remotely with assigned students.
    • Prepare documentation and reports including data analysis and intervention history.
    • Use secure virtual platforms for communication, coaching, and remote learning.
    • Maintain professional, respectful communication with staff, families, and stakeholders.
    • Protect student and staff confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
    • Other job-related duties as assigned.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Strong understanding of ABA, trauma-informed practices, and behavioral health strategies.
    • Experience in virtual behavior support and remote student consultation.
    • Knowledge of special education laws and behavior intervention regulations.
    • Strong communication skills (oral and written) tailored to virtual collaboration.
    • Ability to use technology and digital platforms to deliver services, track data, and coach staff.
    • Ability to solve problems creatively and manage conflict resolution in a remote setting.
    • Experience with diverse populations and a commitment to equity and inclusion.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
    • Comfortable leading virtual meetings and trainings.
    • Maintains punctual, consistent attendance with flexibility for occasional meetings across time zones.

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in behavior analysis, education, psychology, or related field required.
    • At least 1 year of experience working as a Behavior Specialist or in a similar behavioral support role.
    • Experience conducting FBAs, developing BIPs, and supporting implementation using ABA practices.
    • Prior virtual service delivery or remote coaching experience is a strong plus.
    • Equivalent education and experience may be considered in lieu of specific credentials.
