Job description

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

May Institute | Randolph | Residential or School Program

Full-Time

Join a team where BCBAs become great BCBAs. As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at May Institute, a recognized leader in ABA and autism care, you'll design and oversee individualized ABA treatment plans for Children with autism and developmental disabilities, backed by the expert mentorship and career balance to build a career that lasts, not just a bigger number on your first paycheck.

You’ll be part of a large, collaborative community of behavior analysts across May, guided by doctoral-level clinicians, with manageable caseloads, in-house continuing education, and a dedicated research infrastructure through the National Autism Center and May’s own Institutional Review Board. It’s the kind of clinical environment many BCBAs aspire to join.

Why Join Us?
  • Lead With Clinical Expertise: conduct functional behavior and skill assessments, then design, implement, and oversee individualized ABA treatment plans, using data-driven decision-making to guide each client’s progress. You’ll also train and coach staff, teachers, and families so strategies carry over across classroom, residential, and community settings [confirm by location].
  • Mentorship That Elevates You: learn directly from doctoral-level BCBAs and recognized leaders in the field, with ongoing consultation and support from experienced BCBA colleagues.
  • A Caseload That Lets You Do the Work Well: productivity expectations are set so you can deliver thoughtful, high-quality clinical work, not rush from one billable hour to the next.
  • Research You Can Actually Do: access to May’s own Institutional Review Board (IRB) and the National Autism Center, with opportunities to publish and present your work.
  • A Career You Can Sustain: generous paid time off, including 10 paid holidays and a floating birthday holiday, plus flexible scheduling and a culture built around the realities of this field, not one that burns you out.
  • Competitive Pay With Room to Grow: a competitive salary that advances as your skills, experience, and responsibilities grow.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: medical, dental, and vision coverage; in-house CEUs and fully paid training; up to full tuition coverage plus student loan repayment assistance; confidential counseling and financial planning through our Employee Assistance Program; and relocation assistance for eligible candidates. See the full list at mayinstitute.org/careers/benefits.
Why May?
  • A Proven Leader in the Field: for more than 70 years, May Institute has been breaking new ground in ABA treatment and transforming lives. You’re joining an organization with a long, proven track record, not a startup still figuring things out.
  • Work That Means Something: serve (children and adults with autism, brain injury, and developmental disabilities) across May’s schools, residential programs, and community settings, collaborating every day with educators, speech therapists, OTs, PTs, and clinical leadership.
  • A Launching Point, Not a Ceiling: with leadership development and clear promotional pathways, many of our BCBAs grow into clinical supervisor, training, and leadership roles across May’s network of programs.
  • Impact You Can See: the wins here are measurable: a goal met, a skill generalized, a family’s relief.
What You Bring
  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field
  • BCBA certification in good standing with the BACB, or actively in the process of obtaining certification
  • State licensure as required (e.g., LABA in Massachusetts), or willingness to obtain
  • Experience conducting assessments and designing ABA programs; supervisory or staff training experience preferred
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, and clinical assessment skills
  • A collaborative mindset and a genuine passion for working with individuals with developmental disabilities
Compensation
