Job summary

Downers Grove Grade School District 58 seeks an Instructional Assistant for the BEST program at Kingsley Elementary School. The position is 1.0 FTE with an hourly rate of $18.06 and a prorated $2,000 annual stipend, starting immediately.

The role supports students with disabilities, implements classroom interventions, and collaborates with teachers to meet academic and social-emotional goals within the BEST program.

Qualifications

• Valid Para-Professional license or Professional Educator's License required by the Illinois State Board of Education.

Responsibilities

• Carries out teacher's plan for instruction for individual students and/or group work.
• Alerts teacher to any problems or information about an individual student.
• Implements strategies designed and assigned by teachers to meet individual differences.
• Prepares materials for sessions under guidance of the classroom teacher.
• Works with individuals/small groups to review, reinforce, and expand skills and concepts.

Education
