Your Role as a Behavior Manager:
Assess Student Behavior: Evaluate students’ initial and ongoing behavioral strengths and needs according to school assessment protocols and timelines.
Implement Crisis Intervention: Utilize nonviolent crisis intervention techniques as necessary to maintain a safe learning environment.
Participate in Meetings: Attend IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and other relevant meetings to support student needs and progress.
Deliver IEP Services: Provide and monitor behavioral services as outlined in each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Develop Behavior Goals: Create behavior goals and Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs) under the supervision of a Behavior Analyst.
Conduct and Support FBAs: Perform Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) as needed, and support data-driven behavior intervention planning with BCBA oversight.
Track and Analyze Data: Design systems for data collection, graph and analyze student behavior data, and revise plans as needed to ensure effectiveness.
Required Qualifications:
Education Requirements: Hold a Bachelor’s degree and be currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or BCaBA coursework, OR be enrolled in a modified ABA Master’s program with at least 120 completed undergraduate-equivalent credits.
ABA Coursework Progress: Actively pursuing advanced coursework in ABA with a demonstrated commitment to completing certification or licensure requirements.
Experience Requirement: Have a minimum of two years’ experience working with children who have behavioral disorders, including implementing principles and techniques of Applied Behavior Analysis.
