Job summary

The Village Network is seeking a Behavioral Management Specialist - Residential to deliver direct care and clinical support aligned with our mission. You will work in a residential setting with youth and families, coordinating with teachers and therapists to implement behavior management and safety protocols.

Requirements include a 21+ age, 3+ years in behavioral health or related degree, and a valid Ohio driver’s license with insurable status.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • 3+ years of behavioral health experience or Bachelors Degree in a Human Services related field desired.
  • Valid Ohio Driver’s License and insurable driving record; travel to client homes may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in transportation when not assigned to other program needs.
  • Provide behavior management and document behavior modification.
  • Assist teacher/staff with daily operations and attendance; communicate with parents.
  • Provide crisis or individual counseling and lead groups with supervision.
  • Coordinate psych educational groups based on group needs with staff.
  • Oversee residential campus behavioral management and safety.
  • Direct Youth Care Specialists as required; perform other duties as needed.

Assists with attendance, communication with parents and referring agencies. Provides transportation if necessary. Oversees meal time and breaks.Provides crisis and/or individual counseling, groups for youth under supervision. This must be coordinated with the teacher and/or Clinical Therapist.Provides psych educational groups for youth. Selects curriculum based on group’s needs, in coordination with teachers and/or Clinical Therapists.Assists in the behavioral management of the residential campus when not assigned to other program needs.Provides direction to Youth Care Specialists as required.Performs other duties as required.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to use a computer; proficiency with Microsoft Office products.Must be 21 years of age or olderDiploma/GED required3+ years of behavioral health experience or Bachelors Degree in a Human Services related field desired.Valid Ohio Driver’s License and maintains a driving record that allows that individual to be insurable with the insurance company providing The Village Network with vehicle insurance.
