Job summary

Institute for Applied Behavior Analysis (IABA) is seeking a Behavior Interventionist to support children and adolescents with developmental disabilities using evidence-based ABA in home, school, and community settings.

You will work with positive-only methods, providing hands-on training and opportunities for growth. Roles available full-time or part-time in the Greater Los Angeles Area/SFV, with 30+ hours weekly and 130+ hours monthly.

As aBehavior Interventionist with IABA, you will have the opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of children and adolescents with developmental disabilities like Autism by implementing personalized treatment plans, encouraging skill development, and providing the resources and support needed for our clients to achieve their goals!

Using the evidence-based principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), you will provide one-on-one support in the home, school, and community, using our positive-only methods to encourage desired behaviors and enhance play, self-care, cognitive, social, and communication skills.

For over 40 years, IABA has been providing high quality, person-centered treatment for children and their families. We take great pride in the work we do, and continue to advocate for the community we serve.

WAGE RANGE: $20-28 per hour

Location:Greater Los Angeles Area & San Fernando Valley
(Open cases in Woodland Hills, Sherman Oaks, Van Nuys, North Hollywood, Studio City, Burbank and surrounding areas)

Serving Clients in their homes & schools

WAGE RANGE:$20-28 per hour

Full Time: 30+ hours per week, 130+ hours a month

Monday-Friday 8:00am- 6:30pm +½ weekend day

Part Time Schedule Options:

Monday-Friday 8am-3pm

Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8am-3pm

or Tuesday/Thursday 8am-3pm

• Reliable transportation, CA driver's license, proof of auto insurance & willingness to drive throughout SFV area


• Interest and enthusiasm for working with children and adolescents, including the ability to be silly and have fun playing

• Reliability and dedication to working daily with our clients


• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds, walk, run, bend, squat, kneel, sit and play on the floor, stand for long periods of time, and engage in fast-paced physical activities with children and teens


• Willingness to work with clients of all ages (2-23), all behaviors (including aggressive or destructive behaviors), and all support needs (including hygiene, feeding, and mobility support)

Pre-Employment Requirements

This role involves unsupervised, direct support of children and/or adults in home, school, and community settings. Duties include implementing behavior plans, managing behavioral escalations, assisting with daily living needs, entering private residences, and accessing confidential health and personal information.
