Merakey seeks a School Based Behavioral Health Technician to provide 1:1 direct services in family homes, schools, and community settings in Huntingdon, PA. Salary is posted as $17.48 per hour, with a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends to meet caseload needs.

Qualified candidates hold a bachelor's degree in psychology or related field and have experience with family systems and children. A PA driver's license is required; position located in Mount Union Area School District, Mount

Qualifications

• This position will work in Mount Union, PA at Mount Union Area School District.

Responsibilities

• Implements a behavior modification intervention plan developed by the family, school, and Therapist.
• Provides 1:1 direct services in family homes, schools, and community settings.
• Maintains records noting progress and problem areas; reports to Therapist daily.
• Attends training as required and participates in ongoing treatment planning.
• Provides family education and skills training to enable active involvement in treatment.
• Maintains regular communication with families, schools, physicians, and other service providers.

Position Details

At Merakey, you can make a change in the life of a child using evidence-based treatmentsto provide 1:1 direct service in family homes, schools, and community settings. You will have fun and let your personality shine while applying individualized treatment.

Responsibilities include:

• Implements a behavior modification intervention plan developed by the family, school and Therapist.
• Intervenes as needed when the child exhibits problem behaviors.
• Interventions may include removing the child from the area, talking with the child about behaviors, accessing support of parents' procedures and implementing plan procedures indicated with the child, using the appropriate intervention technique.
• Maintains records noting progress and problem areas.
• Reports to Therapist on a daily basis.
• Attends training as required.
• Provides treatment services to families including skills training and education designed to enable families to become actively involved in treatment.
• Maintains regular communication with families, schools, physicians and other service providers involved with the children and family.
• Works flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, in order to meet the needs of children and family's caseload. Merakey offers a continuum of care in behavioral health, integrating services in both community and site-based settings. Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

Required:

• Must possess a bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related discipline.
• Training and experience with family systems as well as experience working with children and their families in a clinical setting is preferred.
• Must hold a valid Pennsylvania driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• This position will work in Huntingdon County at Mount Union Area School District in Mount Union, PA

Preferred:

• Two years' experience in mental/behavioral health preferred
