Job Description

The BHS supports patients in the hospital facing mental health challenges. This role involves assessing needs, managing risks, planning care during and after hospitalization, connecting patients and families with resources, educating about mental health, and coordinating with outside providers or insurance teams. The specialist leads or guides activities in various settings.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a human service field approved by the State of Missouri.
  • Must obtain and maintain CPI certification.
  • Clearance through the Family Care Registry.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Leadership skills and ability to evaluate program outcomes.
  • Ability to work with multicultural staff and clients.
  • If driving is required, meet Fleet Driving Safety and Compliance Policy requirements.
  • Complete training as directed within the established timeline.
