Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families? Join our dynamic IBHS (Intensive Behavioral Health Services) team at DTAC as a Behavioral Consultant / Mobile Therapist and play a key role in guiding and uplifting children on their journey toward wellness.

In this rewarding role, you’ll collaborate with a dedicated team to design, implement, and evolve personalized treatment plans tailored to each child’s unique needs. You’ll conduct functional behavioral assessments and work closely with families, educators, and community members to foster supportive environments in various real-world settings. Whether it's in the child’s home, school, a relative’s home, a sports field, or a local community center, your work will bring essential therapeutic services right to the heart of where children live, play, and grow.

Qualifications:

Individuals who provide Therapy Services shall meet one of the following:

  1. Be licensed as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist or clinical social worker, or
  2. Be licensed as a social worker or a behavior specialist and have a graduate degree that required a clinical or mental health direct service practicum, or
  3. 1 year of full-time experience in providing mental health direct services to children and a graduate degree with 9 credits specific to clinical practice in psychology, social work or counseling, or
  4. Completed a clinical or mental health direct service practicum and have a graduate degree with at least 9 credits specific to clinical practice in psychology, social work, education, counseling or a related field.

The successful candidate will provide assessment information relating to strengths and therapeutic needs of the client and family. In addition, will be responsible for developing and implementing an Individual Treatment Plan designed to encompass the psychological needs of the client. Treatment Plans will address defined problems and will incorporate a strength-based approaches to psychotherapy which is child-centered and family focused. Mobile Therapist personnel will provide individual psychotherapy to the client and family members relating to specified treatment goals. The Mobile Therapist will collaborate with all individuals involved in the client’s treatment (i.e. parents, teachers, extended family members, group leaders, coaches, guidance counselor, principal, and other school related officials, etc.) throughout treatment plan development.
