Wellan Montessori School is looking for a passionate Beginner Assistant Teacher to support a classroom for children ages 15 months to 3 years. This full-time role involves planning curriculum, managing classroom operations, and ensuring a nurturing environment while collaborating with co-teachers. Successful candidates should have relevant experience, strong classroom management skills, and a preference for a Montessori educational background.
Position Overview:
Wellan Montessori School is seeking an experienced educator to support our Beginner program (ages 15 months - 3 years). This position will start on August 21, 2025. The Beginner Assistant Teacher supports all aspects of classroom operation while working closely with co-teachers to ensure that classroom standards are met consistently. This teacher must excel at taking shared responsibility for creating and maintaining an orderly, safe, and appropriately challenging learning environment for children. Additional responsibilities include: planning/implementing age appropriate curriculum and activities, communicating with families, and implementing strict health and safety protocols.
Successful candidates will be patient, well organized, flexible, professional, and dependable; have strong classroom management skills; have strong verbal and written communication skills; be able to function in a cooperative teaching environment; and be able to collaborate with other educators in our community to create an environment where children learn, socialize, explore, and grow together. Experience working in a Montessori classroom is strongly preferred.
