Job Description: We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and nurturing Full-Time Teacher Assistant to join our toddler classroom. In this role, you will support the lead teacher in creating a safe, enriching, and stimulating environment for toddlers. The ideal candidate will have a love for working with young children, a patient demeanor, and a willingness to contribute to the overall success of the classroom.
Responsibilities:
Assist the lead teacher in daily classroom activities and lesson implementation.
Provide individualized support to children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
Encourage children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through hands-on activities and positive interaction.
Foster a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Help supervise children during playtime, meals, and transitions.
Collaborate with other staff members to support classroom operations and maintain a clean, organized space.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding children’s progress and milestones.
Assist with record-keeping and documentation of developmental observations.
Implement classroom routines and contribute to a structured, consistent environment.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education is a plus).
Previous experience working with toddlers or in a daycare setting is preferred but not required.
Strong communication skills and a nurturing, patient approach.
Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from the lead teacher.
Knowledge of child development and early childhood education practices.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
